TELEDIAGNOSIS

Qualified patient care, including the interpretation of diagnostic imaging tests, cannot be interrupted. And here at CETIR, we don’t let anything stop us.

FAQS

What are the qualifications of the professionals at CETIR?

Our professionals are radiologists and specialists in nuclear medicine who have been accredited and have homologated titles for practicing their specialty. All of them have been trained in the interpretation of the most prevalent studies and explorations (PET, MRI, CT, etc.), and regularly attend updating courses in diagnostic imaging techniques, as well as congresses and scientific committees relating to the different medical sub-specialties.

What are the minimum technical requirements for using the telediagnosis service?

  • - PC with broadband access to the Internet.
  • - Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher.
  • - Mid- to high-resolution monitor, preferably 1600 x 1200 (1024 x 768 is also acceptable), in order to correctly view the images.

How do we receive the images?

By means of the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) protocol (with a VPN-encrypted security link), the images are sent from your system to our core (central) PACS.

¿How are the reports sent?

Via FTP or email, and a CD copy can also be requested.

What are the typical times to delivery for the standard and emergency modalities?

We have a broad range of services to suit your needs, from 2 to 48 hours, the most requested service being 24 hours. In the case of emergencies, the time-to-delivery is one hour.

How is a study requested, and how is this telediagnosis service used?

After signing the contract between CETIR and the client, the latter receives a dossier with all the information needed to operate the system (contact persons, useful telephone numbers, list of tests included in the contract, etc.). Our IT Department contacts the client to ensure that the VPN is installed and that the images can be transmitted correctly, and provides the client’s personnel with the training needed to request a study and receive the corresponding report. The entire process is extensively tested before beginning to use the service, and the client is able to choose to receive the report by web or CD. The report can also be sent directly to the prescribing professional.
